Woven in the village of Lilihan near Arak in western Iran, Lilihan rugs are celebrated for their durability and decorative appeal. These rugs were primarily produced by Armenian weavers in the early 20th century and are closely related to Sarouk rugs in both structure and materials. Lilihan rugs typically feature curvilinear floral designs with a central medallion or all-over pattern, rendered in vibrant palettes dominated by reds, blues, and ivories. Their tight weave and soft wool pile ensure they wear beautifully over time.
