A Closer Look at Our Brass Mirrors

Most frames are unlacquered, meaning the brass is left without a clear coating. That is what gives it life: bright at first, then slowly deepening into a softer, darker tone that is yours alone. Like the shine? An occasional polish brings it back. Choosing a brass bathroom mirror is mostly about scale. Palmeraies offers styles to suit different spaces. Pick one a few inches narrower than the vanity, and for a double sink, hang a matching pair.

A brass wall mirror works just as well above a console, mantel or dresser, where it bounces light back into the room. Prefer a darker look from day one? See the antique brass mirror range. Drawn to softer lines? Try the wavy mirror designs. Have a brass mirror design or size in mind that is not here? Send your measurements through custom mirrors and it will be made to fit. FAQs

Yes. Many of these mirrors are made for vanities and powder rooms. Unlacquered brass reacts to air and moisture, so the frame will darken a little faster in a steamy bathroom. That is a change in the surface colour, not damage. Wiping the frame dry with a soft cloth slows it down.
If the frame is unlacquered, yes. It starts bright and gradually takes on a deeper, warmer tone. Many people choose unlacquered brass for exactly this reason. If you want the darker look from the start, choose the antique brass or bronze brass finish.
A good starting point is a mirror a few inches narrower than the vanity, so it does not overhang the sides. For a double vanity, two matching mirrors, one centred over each sink, usually look more balanced than one wide mirror. Each product lists its height and width in inches for every size.
Most designs are offered in gold brass, antique brass, bronze brass and silver. Many also come in brushed brass, and some in matte black. The finish options are shown on each product page.
